During the 2nd Health and Fitness Seminar, Fitness Coach Tom Wilson created a stationary exercise routine to the song “Set Free.” Worship Leader Rick Muchow modified some of the lyrics to make it “Daniel Plan Approved.” Watch this, feel the energy, try the exercise and enjoy the music!

The Daniel Plan asked you for original recipes and we got 'em! Here are a few recipes that gained The Daniel Plan stamp of approval from Dr. Daniel Amen and Dr. Mark Hyman. The only exception is the doctors prefer to saute with grapeseed oil, coconut oil or vegetable broth. Olive oil, although healthy, can turn toxic at high temperatures.

Zig zag your way through East Hollywood, Westlake, downtown Los Angeles and Boyle Heights on Sunday, April 10 from 10am to 3pm. Through cicLAvia.org, the a 7 1/2 mile route will be vacant of automobiles and replaced with walkers, joggers, and cyclists and skateboard enthusiasts. It’s free. It’s a family-friendly, all ages. Bring the Big Wheel, bring the red wagon. Jog, walk, run, race, or go at your own pace.

On Saturday, Saddleback hosted the second Daniel Plan seminar of the year. The morning was full of celebration, information, and of course, healthy snacks.

Attendees braved the rain to hear from the team of experts assembled to educate us on health, fitness, and nutrition. The day’s talks centered around two themes: the power of community and how to push past plateaus.

Just a few weeks into The Daniel Plan and many participants report positive progress and encouraging comments. Additionally, we had more than 8,100 people watch the kick-off health and fitness seminar, more than 8,535 people who filled out the basic health profile, 2,132 completed the health survey, 770 completed the extended health survey, 8,190 agreed to participate in the clinical study and we’ve added 522 new small groups!
