Learn to appreciate and give dignity to your body, not abusing it. —1 Thessalonians 4:4 MSG

Dr. Mark Hyman says, “What you put on your fork dictates whether you are sick or well, slim or fat, depleted or energized.” He says, “Real food has the power to give you your life back so you can more fully engage in the purpose for your life.” If real food has this power, you can be sure that God cares what you eat. He wants you to appreciate and give dignity to your body by nourishing it the way it was designed to be nourished.

What motivates you to appreciate your body? Maybe the very idea of appreciating it is new for you. If so, stop and think about it. Can you name five things you appreciate about your body? Here are three: God made it, Jesus died for it, and the Holy Spirit dwells in it. And there are many more. Think of how wondrously it works, the many ways it moves, and what it enables you to do.

Food for Thought: Your body is an amazing work of art, crafted to give glory to the one who made it.
