I didn't know how hard is to avoid sugar when I start to do it a couple weeks ago. Still been a battle but I could reduce the amount of sugar in my diet and I can feel and see the difference in my waist already... Keep going and I'll not give up on taking control of my health! Thanks pastor Rick for starting this program...

I need to start taking a vitamin D supplement. Are they all created alike? Are some higher quality than others?

I was one of those people addicted to sugar. When I read some of Dr. Amen's books and realized how much it affects the body (especially the brain), it was easy to just stop. Quit cold turkey and that was that. It really didn't seem as difficult as I thought it would be. As the doctors have said, it only takes a few days to get rid of the cravings and it is so true. Follow the plan and it will work!My mother has late stage Alzheimer's Disease and that gives me great incentive to get healthy and stay healthy. I have seen the ongoing slow decline in her health for many years. It is very sad that she is unable to enjoy her family at this stage of her life. I feel very sad for her, but at the same time, I do not want to make the same mistakes that she did...living on coffee, coke, and cigarettes. The weight is lifted from my shoulders and what a freeing experience it is!I look at the long term...life is full of choices to make every day. I try to make each choice count for better health and a more satisfying life. Thanks everyone for this wonderful program...it has changed my life!
