Dr. Mark Hyman, one of the most popular doctors in America, explains to Pastor Rick how he is going use his “functional medicine” concept to help participants of The Daniel Plan reach a new level of health. Rather than taking a pill for every ill, Dr. Hyman suggests food has the most powerful influence to balance the body system. However, some people, says Pastor Rick, put more food in their body than others.

This is the answer I have been looking for! As a cancer survivor, I have been concerned about what I can do proactively to keep healthy. Thank you Pastor Rick and Dr. Hyman!

I feel like I am doing all of the right things yet, I'm over-weight. PLEASE help me! I am healthy but, I can't seem to lose weight. The weight is now causing feet issues which scares me about future exercise options. HELP! I'm too young for this!

Cora,This is a great start here at the Daniel Fast. Instead of a quick fix, it is offering a lifestyle change. Nothing gets fixed quick, in fact the problem is still there. Go slow with God and listen and in a year from now you will be a different person.

I commend you and your church for taking a position of getting healthier. God's words are food for our soul as his natural foods are health for our bodies. Thank you for leading the way and becoming more educated on this subject and sharing it with us.

Nice plan Rick Warren.This is my question do I give up my Multivitamin it does not grow on a plant.

I really liked this video ,when Dr. Hayman talked about what time u eat I have a bit of a problem that I have to figure out.My work schedule is(2 days 4:oo-12midnite

Last night I heard about the Daniel Plan for the first time. I am at the heaviest I've been in my life and don't seem to have the motivation to loose that I did when I was younger. This sounds like something I need to incorporate in my life.

Ellen- I understand exactly where you are coming from. I am about 50 pounds overweight and coming up on my 54th birthday. The sad part is when I was in my twenties I was an Aerobics instructor. But that was then, and this is my reality now. I started 3 weeks ago, not perfectly, but better. Pray everyday, every moment if you need to for God to help you through this process.
