Cost for Daniel Plan Screening laboratory tests. www.saveonlabs.com (not available in NY, NJ or RI.) Cost $450.00.www.directlabs.com $799 for women; $699 for men). NOTE: Neither company will file an insurance claim for you. However, they will give you a receipt for Wellness Lab, diagnostic code V70, which you can send to your health insurance company. If you want to be sure they will reimburse you for the cost, contact them BEFORE you take the tests. If you want to have your doctor do the test, take the list to your doctor and tell them to have your blood check for ALL of these.

Wow...Type II diabetic for 17 years...I have insisted not to be put on insulin but have not bee able to control my #'s w/diet..metformin etc...cuz I donot lose weight easily, even with all the food restrictions, etc...therefore, the dr. wants me to take a fairly new injection once a day which is still sitting on my cou nter..afraid of drugs and side effects...yet my body is failing w/abnormal things about urine and blood....blood pressure keeps zoomin...been at this obesity thing for 36 yrs...feel horrible, sedentary, depressed, etc. I pray that I can concentrate on this plan and adhere to it....it is so informative but my "stick-to-it" abilities are for the long haul are not!

i only have cen-cal which is a type of medi-cal. If there are tests that are not covered, are there any resourcs to help with the costs? How much does it cost overall for these tests to be done if the only option is through cash?

Where can I find the printed list of tests so I can communicate the tests to my doctor? Where can I find a lab local to Orange County to have these tests done? Is this information on the website?

I need help understanding "waist to height ratio": per instructions, I divide my waist measurement by my height measurement and get a .61 figure...what does this mean? I don't understand how it fits (if it is supposed to or not) with the women's ratio listed. I just don't get it...the ratio figures also don't fit the BWI's definition of overweight or obesity. I am overweight but not obese according to what seems to be contradictions in different? categories. Please clarify for me. Thank you.

I totally can connect with Worboys although I am not diabetic, I an overweight and have been for very many years. I am at my all time high now, and feel depressed about it. I feel like it will never leave me. All I think about is what should I be doing, or eating, or not eating. If I could loose weight simply for thinking about food, I would be thin!
