If you are ready to take your goals up a notch, or you have reached a plateau, consider taking a break from foods that are not supporting your overall health.  This is often referred to as a food “detox”, which will ultimately make you feel better while giving you a kick start to achieving your goals.

During a food detox, eliminate specific items from your diet for a period of three weeks to identify if you suffer from food allergies and inflammation.  This allows your body to clean out the toxins that may be keeping you stuck. By eliminating sugar, sodas, refined carbohydrates, trans fats, and alcohol you can experience accelerated results in your journey to wellness.

The 3 Day Detox is great! I did it in November and lost 5 pounds in 3 days. I'm currently in Dr. Hyman's Beta Research Group for his 10 Day Detox book coming out in 2114. I have lost 10 pounds since 1/20/13. I am now sugar free (including artificial sweeteners), dairy, all grains and starchy vegetables. Dr. Hyman has challenged us to continuing for an additional 90 days. By the way, the Detox Bath is great. I continue to take this relaxing bath with Epsom Salt, Lavender Oil and Baking Soda (Dr. Hyman added Baking Soda to his 10 Day Detox). Also be sure and order his new cookbook. I use his "Blood Sugar Solution" Recipe Cookbook and it has very tasty recipes, especially the "Creamy Cauliflower" and "Three Mushroom" soups. I am now 20 pounds from goal weight having started out at 221 pounds.The Daniel Plan has truly changed my life and participating in the Detox helped me get off of a Looooong plateau.Thank you Dr. Hyman, Dr. Oz and Dr. Amen for The Daniel Plan. Thank you Dr. Hyman for helping me get off of artificial sweeteners.
