Family Fitness Vacation Ideas


Summer vacations make lifetime memories. The Daniel Plan asked Lisa Nicholson, owner of Enjoy Travel Agency, to share her Top 5 Family Fitness Vacation ideas, including activities that will get you exercise while having fun!

1. Hawaiian Islands - #1 Maui - The Valley Isle

Haleakala National Park

An active, but not currently erupting volcano, rises 10,000 ft. above sea level making sunrise viewing unforgettable. Hike through richly colored landscapes and untamed wilderness. For the real adventurers, bike down the crater in the early morning.

Iao Valley State Park

Emerald peaks guard the lush valley floor of this incredible Valley - the 1,200 ft. Iao Needle overlooks exotic tropical plants and the beautiful clear natural pools. Easy hiking with ridge-top lookout offers a fantastic view of Kahului Harbor.

Ohe'O Gulch - Seven Sacred Pools

Drive down the famous "Road to Hana" where lovely waterfalls and tranquil pools await you. The Pipiwai Trail offers splendid hiking culminating at Waimoku Falls, a natural playground with cliff diving for the daring, historical sites, and swimming for all.

Kaanapali Beach

# 1 finest crescent beach nestles into Black Rock. Black Rock is known for some of the best snorkeling on the island of Maui. Don't be surprised to see amazingly large variety of tropical fish, not to mention the many incredible large sea turtles on the island!
