While on The Daniel Plan, the doctors and our Fitness Coach recommend regular exercise both individually and in a group or with a workout buddy. And walking is one of the ways to accomplish this. But it doesn't have to be a boring trip around the block. Get outside. Enjoy the outdoors and take a hike!
While there are numerous trails and beautiful terrain virtually everywhere you look in Southern California, below are a few local trails in the Orange County area. But don't stop here, explore other territories too. Be prepared with proper shoes, sun protection, drinking water at a minimum. Depending on how far you go into remote territory, you may want to consider bringing a first-aid kit, flashlight, a jacket, GPS or compass and a whistle or other communication device.
