SADDLEBACK WOMEN WORKOUT AND CONNECT

By Melinda Erickson

“There are no mirrors, no men and it’s cheaper than a gym,” Elaine Crane, instructor for Saddleback’s Fitness Well-being class for women explains. “My desire is that exercise will become a fun part of their daily lives and that they would develop a love for exercise and arrange their lives around it.”

The energetic women in her class have done just that. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am-10am women in their 20’s, women in their 70’s and every age in-between, and every level of fitness arrive at Tent 3 to become better fit for God’s purpose in their lives. They come, too, for fellowship and connection with other women, and they come for encouragement in a safe environment.

Kristine, who has been attending since the class began in January of 2009 said, “We just love being together, connecting with one another, mentoring each other as women. I love it!”

“I’ve been in this since the Daniel Plan began. I’m usually sore the day after,” Teresa confided. “But it’s a good feeling. I’m making progress and my energy level has increased.”

Lisa has been attending the class since January. “It’s the prayer at the end that I love. Elaine sends us off for the day just right. I have energy for the rest of the day, and my stress level is lower.”

Interested women who want to connect, get fit and make new friendships are welcome to drop in to Tent 3 with their water bottle in hand, ready for exercise. Cost for the classes is $5 for three sessions. Call 949-609-8701 for more information.
