And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. —Romans 8:11
The Holy Spirit lives in you. He is the Spirit who raised Jesus’ body from the dead. God promises that he will also give life to your mortal body. His presence in you is one reason your body is of immense value. He offers you new life, strength, comfort, and hope to move forward in the way God designed you.
Ask him today to fulfill that promise. The ultimate fulfillment will come when he raises you from the dead and gives you a glorified body for all eternity. But eternal life starts now, and you can invite the Spirit to give life to your body now. What do you need strength for today? What hope do you need to overcome discouragement? Reach out to God in faith, asking him to fill you with his Spirit.
